Gimas to commission Malta plant this year
As GİMAS, we have held the groundbreaking ceremony for our new factory in Malta, where we will manufacture wind turbine components. This significant step reaffirms our commitment to sustainable and renewable energy. At the opening ceremony, attended by Malta Prime Minister Robert Abela, we proudly celebrated becoming GİMAS’s first production facility in Malta.
This facility, which will operate over an area of 10,000 m² and is scheduled to commence operations in the second quarter of next year, will be GİMAS’s first production center outside of Türkiye.
Additionally, the facility will include an educational academy aimed at nurturing young talents.
We are delighted to create new job opportunities for engineers, technicians, and other professionals in the renewable energy sector.
We extend our gratitude to Malta Prime Minister Robert Abela, Minister of Economy Silvio Schembri, and Malta Enterprise CEO Kurt Farrugia for standing by us in this significant milestone. As the GİMAS family, we will continue to build the future by enhancing our contributions to renewable energy and the green economy.
